Youth Clinics in Blekinge

The youth clinics in Blekinge are a regional service aimed at young people aged 13-26.

The overarching goal of the Youth Clinic is to promote and support physical and mental health with a focus on sexual and reproductive health and rights. All young people should feel welcome, and we work in a norm-aware manner.

The Position

The position involves working at several clinics in the region. The clinics are located in Sölvesborg, Olofström, Karlshamn, Ronneby, and Karlskrona. The workgroup includes midwives, social workers, and nurses.

About the Job

Work at the youth clinic is health-promoting, primarily within sexual, reproductive, and mental health, but also generally in various lifestyle areas. As a midwife at the youth clinic, you will primarily work within sexual and reproductive health, providing counseling, treatment, and discussions regarding sexuality and relationships. Your tasks will include contraceptive counseling, testing, advice, and follow-up on sexually transmitted infections. You will have both individual contacts and work in group activities and outreach in collaboration with the region's schools, as well as participating in network work. At the youth clinic, you will serve at two to three different clinics in Blekinge.

About You

You are a licensed midwife. As a person, you are independent, flexible, and have good collaboration skills, but can also work independently. Curiosity and the ability to think innovatively are important qualities as our environment is constantly changing. Long-term thinking and perseverance are also required to develop the work and the organization.

Experience working with young people or previous work at a youth clinic is an advantage. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We apply ongoing selection and will start interviews before the application period ends, so do not hesitate to apply directly.

Region Blekinge places all permanent staff in a war position. Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security screening interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). A driver's license is required as you will be working across the region, and it is necessary to use a leased car in the position. Candidates who are being considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.
